Some things just do not change and when the newly appointed chief executive of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI) was asked to comment on the relationship between Government and Business, he hinted at that unchangeable element: TRUST.
“A lot of stuff”, he alluded, “is caused by fear and lack of trust”.
In the mid-90s Joel Kotkin, in his insightful book, TRIBES, suggested that trust relationships is one of the important keys to the success of any organization in the 21st century. Of course, this is not original with Kotkin and the new CEO of SACCI, Mr Alan Mukoki.
