Public prefers bandwidth for entertainment over bandwidth for education

While this story highlights the punishable and illegal choices the public makes, it provides a complicated basis for why people should modify their behaviour.

Solidarity to a moral standards is not high on the public’s priority list – amusement is. Passively soaking up the pleasures of entertainment trumps intellectual spadework and scoffs at intellectual property.

In the meantime, our kids cannot find decent bandwidth to download a Khan Academy video or hone their skills on an interactive engineering and science internet portal – the adults in their world spend time and money on consuming for entertainment instead of committing to education.
