“Youth Workforce Development” (YWD) is often used to describe initiatives that engage young people in programs connected to improving the lives of others. This week, two young men start a journey in Bloemfontein, South Africa in pursuit of making that improvement for others.

Desmond van Rensburg and Mosimanethebe Tsikang (Theby) are in the City of Roses to start that journey and were welcomed to their first development training session by staff of the the Learning Academy Worldwide partner in literacy improvement, Royal Haskoning DHV.

Both are assigned to Hodisa Technical Secondary School‘s Mobile Learning Program which was started earlier this year. They will support projects for Grade 8 English language.

The two are starting their Skype-development program by Learning Academy Worldwide today – live from Rome, ITALY.
