I am convinced that there are a host of parallels to other countries including South Africa. As an educator, I am particularly interested to find creative ways to improve teacher awareness of these realities.

A book by Eric Jensen called, “Teaching with Poverty in Mind” is an immediate resource that I believe could be very helpful to teachers.
