Two teachers from the Mattawan High School in Michigan, USA, took their physics class to Rome and I was fortunate to take that brief journey with them. Actually, they visited me.
Ben Tomlinson and Scott Gardner used communications technology to make that trans-atlantic voyage possible. It formed part of the Physics program at the school in a process that will lead to the creation of a computer simulation that demonstrates the impact of an identified solution to a specific problem.
Problems? Who’s got problems?
I was encouraged by a class that would want to solve a real problem in the world and at the same time learn the essentials of Physics.
