Showcased Learners’ Work Always Inspire

During the last three months I have had good opportunity to see commendable models of learning environments that showcase the artifacts of learning – public porfolios, if you wish, of exceptional work done by children.

Burning Tree Elementary School in the Montgomery County in the state of Maryland in the US, is one such example. This morning I walked, together with other parents, into what I call a Clart Gallery – a classroom turn into an art gallery.

Not just for my child, but for every child in this world, I think, no greater joy and inspiration comes to their young hearts more forcibly than that which is generated by a showcase of their work. May the tribes of teachers who do this increase!
