Swedish and American students wrestle with South African text

chain-of-fire-cover1Learners from two countries are reading the same text to prepare for an online discussion on ideas emerging from their reading. An excerpt from South African-born author, Beverley Naidoo’s Chain of Fire will form the basis for the seminar around the ideas of identity, dialogue,  one and many and tyranny. Learners from John Muir school in Southern California and Learning Academy Worldwide in Sweden will be involved in a Paideia seminar, connected via broadband, using Webex and Elluminate e-learning platforms. The moderator is in Bethesda, MD in the US.

  3. I think the book is a good subject to discuss because you can see the meanings in the book in so many different ways.
